Abstract

This study aims to describe the Guidance of Extracurricular Dance Activities (Rentak Bulian) at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru, Riau Province, Academic Year 2024/2025. The purpose of the study is the Guidance of Extracurricular Dance Activities (Rentak Bulian) at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru, Riau Province, Academic Year 2024/2025. The Extracurricular Guidance Theory used in this study is Suryosubroto (1987:77-79). This study uses descriptive interactive and qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation techniques. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru with 10 Research Subjects, one Guidance Officer, one trainer and 8 Extracurricular participants. In this study there are 5 components in extracurricular guidance, namely (1) The purpose of extracurricular dance at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru is to improve and channel students' interests and talents in the field of dance. (2) Material, in extracurricular activities there are several materials studied by students such as traditional dance and creative dance, in this study the researcher took the Rentak Bulian Dance as the research. (3) Method, in the dance arts extracurricular activities there are 3 methods, namely lectures, demonstrations and practice. (4) Facilities and infrastructure, the equipment to support the dance arts extracurricular activities are speakers, pendopo, performance stage and dance costumes. (5) Evaluation/assessment, in the dance arts extracurricular activities the assessment is carried out once every semester.
