This article examines Nahwu Science from different perspectives from various disciplines, including linguistics, culture, education, digital technology, and modern Islamic thought. Nahwu Science is defined not only as a collection of grammatical rules in Arabic, but also as a representation of Islamic epistemological principles and a strategic tool for understanding Islamic texts. Nahwu Science is an important foundation for understanding the Qur’an and Hadith in the classical Islamic educational tradition. However, the Nahwu learning method which tends to be mechanical and focuses on memorization has experienced challenges in terms of effectiveness and relevance over time.
This research method is qualitative-descriptive, and this study looks at classical and contemporary literature on Arabic language teaching, Islamic pedagogy, and linguistic technology. The results show that Nahwu Science has great potential for development. Innovative context-based learning models, such as task-based learning and problem-based learning, as well as integration with digital technologies such as natural language processing (NLP) and Arabic corpus linguistics, have great potential for development. Therefore, the revitalization of Nahwu Science in contemporary Islamic education requires an interdisciplinary approach that not only respects tradition but also addresses the challenges and opportunities that arise in the information age.
