Qalbun qaswah is a condition of the heart that turns hard due to several things that result in humans being unable to get to know Allah SWT more closely. Qalbun qaswah or hard heart makes the door of the heart closed so that guidance from Allah SWT cannot be accepted by the heart. Qalbun qaswah is likened to a stone or an inanimate object that is harder than stone. Because stones which are inanimate objects still have benefits for humans while a hard heart cannot provide benefits to humans. This thesis examines the meaning of qalbun qaswah based on Q. S. Al-Baqarah verse 74 and also explains things that can cause the heart to become hard based on verses from the Koran accompanied by interpretations from Wahbah Az-Zuhaili.
