IMPLEMENTASI STUNDENT CENTER LEARNING MELALUI E-LEARNING DALAM MEMBANGUN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI MADRASAH ALIYAH BAHRUL ULUM TAMBAKBERAS JOMBANG

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of implementing student-centered learning in the digital era, particularly through the use of e-learning to foster learner autonomy. In practice, however, there are still students who lack active engagement, struggle to manage their study time independently, and rely heavily on teacher guidance to complete assignments. These conditions indicate that the implementation of e-learning has not yet fully adopted the principles of Student-Centered Learning (SCL). This study aims to examine the implementation of SCL via e-learning in fostering student autonomy and to assess the state of student autonomy following the application of this approach in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at Madrasah Aliyah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas, Jombang. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of PAI teachers and students involved in e-learning-based instruction. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings are expected to demonstrate that implementing SCL through e-learning provides students with the opportunity to be more active in seeking information, completing assignments, engaging in discussions, managing their study time, and taking responsibility for their own learning processes. Thus, the use of e-learning supported by SCL strategies can serve as a means to foster student autonomy in the PAI subject.
