LITERATURE REVIEW: HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN KEPATUHAN MINUM OBAT PADA ANAK PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a highly contagious disease that has seen an increase in new cases and deaths in recent years. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and medication adherence in children with tuberculosis. This study used a literature search conducted through Google Scholar and PubMed. Keywords used in English were parental support, medication adherence, children, tuberculosis, and in Indonesian, family support, medication adherence, children, tuberculosis. The feasibility analysis used a cross-sectional JBI checklist. The results of this study yielded three national articles, the third of which explained the relationship between family support and medication adherence in children with tuberculosis. The literature review of the three journals, which examined the relationship between family support and medication adherence, highlighted the importance of family support in tuberculosis treatment, especially in pediatric patients. In accordance with the objectives of this study, which are further explained in the discussion, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and medication adherence.
