PERANAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Learning media has become an essential component in the teaching and learning process, particularly at the elementary school level, where students are in the early stages of developing their cognitive and affective abilities. This article examines the role of instructional media in enhancing students' interest in learning. The study employs a qualitative approach by reviewing relevant literature and educational theories that support the effectiveness of media in the classroom. Various types of media, including visual, audio, audiovisual, and interactive digital platforms, are explored for their impact on student motivation and engagement. Findings suggest that media not only makes learning more attractive and enjoyable but also helps students understand complex concepts more easily through visualization and interaction. In addition, the use of media encourages active participation, accommodates diverse learning styles, and promotes a student-centered learning environment. Integrating media into classroom instruction is shown to significantly increase students' enthusiasm for learning, which in turn contributes to better academic achievement. Therefore, educators are encouraged to be innovative and strategic in selecting and applying appropriate learning media to optimize students' learning experiences in elementary education
