Debus is a traditional Banten performing art that displays immunity to sharp objects, reflecting spiritual power gained through religious practices. Rooted in the spread of Islam, Debus functions as a medium of da'wah and character education, instilling the value of courage and determination. Its history includes developments from the time of the Banten Sultanate to the modern era, where Debus was transformed into an entertainment attraction. Despite the challenges of modernization, preservation efforts through education and cultural festivals continue to be carried out. Debus is not only a performance, but also a symbol of the identity and spirituality of the Banten people that needs to be preserved.

Debus adalah seni pertunjukan tradisional Banten yang menampilkan kekebalan tubuh terhadap benda tajam, mencerminkan kekuatan spiritual yang diperoleh melalui amalan keagamaan. Berakar dari penyebaran Islam, Debus berfungsi sebagai media dakwah dan pendidikan karakter, menanamkan nilai keberanian dan keteguhan hati. Sejarahnya mencakup perkembangan dari masa Kesultanan Banten hingga era modern, di mana Debus bertransformasi menjadi atraksi hiburan. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan modernisasi, upaya pelestarian melalui pendidikan dan festival budaya terus dilakukan.
