INTERPRETASI PERNYATAAN KEAGAMAAN DI MEDIA DIGITAL: ANALISIS LITERASI DIGITAL DAN LITERASI KEAGAMAAN TERHADAP PERNYATAAN USTADZ ADI HIDAYAT TENTANG SYEKH AL-ALBANI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of religious statements in digital media from the perspectives of digital literacy and religious literacy, using Ustadz Adi Hidayat’s statement regarding Sheikh Al-Albani as the object of study. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research data consist of primary sources related to the statement under investigation and academic literature on digital literacy, religious literacy, social media, religious authority, and information interpretation. The analysis focuses on the context of the statement, its scholarly substance, the form of its digital presentation, and the processes of information verification and meaning-making. The findings indicate that the fragmentation of statements through video clips, quotations, and brief presentations can influence how users understand the context and substance of a statement. Digital literacy plays a role in tracing sources, assessing credibility, and verifying information, while religious literacy functions to facilitate an understanding of the substance, scholarly context, and position of a particular view within the religious tradition. The integration of these two forms of literacy is necessary to produce critical, proportionate, and contextual interpretations of religious information in the digital space.
