Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of human resource management at SMA Negeri 1 Parmaksian. Effective human resource management is a key factor in achieving quality educational goals. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques, with the validity of the data ensured through methodological and source triangulation. The findings show that the implementation of human resource management at SMA Negeri 1 Parmaksian includes: (1) Human resource planning has been carried out by considering the actual needs of the school, although it has not yet been formally and comprehensively documented. (2) Human resource recruitment and selection are fairly systematic, particularly for honorary teachers, but remain reactive and have not yet been designed within a long-term framework. (3) Training and development of human resources have not been implemented in a structured manner and still rely on invitations from the education office or external parties. (4) Human resource career development has been fully supported, especially for teachers, but has not been evenly extended to administrative staff. (5) Job satisfaction is an important concern, and some educators have felt its impact, although it has not been equally experienced by all employees. (6) Occupational safety and health in the school environment include efforts to create a safe, clean, and healthy work atmosphere. (7) Compensation is provided depending on employee status and applicable regulations. (8) Work discipline refers to the level of compliance of educators and education staff with rules, regulations, and work responsibilities. Good discipline contributes to the creation of a professional, orderly, and productive work environment in the school.
