Abstract

This study describes how the professionalism of teachers plays a very important role in creating a high-quality educational environment, especially in Christian religious education. Teachers are not only responsible for teaching the subject matter, but also for shaping students' character, morality, and spirituality. The teacher's code of ethics serves as an important guide to maintain integrity, ethics, and responsibility in carrying out their profession. In the context of Christian religious education, the code of ethics helps teachers to become role models in moral and ethical living according to Christian teachings. Furthermore, the code of ethics also functions to improve teaching quality, maintain good professional relationships with colleagues and the community, and ensure that religious duties are carried out with respect for diversity. By adhering to the code of ethics, teachers can uphold the dignity of their profession and educate students to become individuals with character, faith, and responsibility towards others and the environment.
