Abstract

Pindughak, known as Kue Lemak Legit, is a traditional cake rich in flavor and cultural significance in the Kampar, Riau community. This cake has a long history and has become an integral part of traditional customs and special events. However, with the advancement of time and changes in lifestyle, Pindughak has begun to be forgotten and is no longer a priority in community events. This study aims to examine the meaning and cultural value of Pindughak as part of the Kampar community’s tradition, as well as the challenges of preserving it in the modern era. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews with relevant sources. The results show that Pindughak has a profound meaning in the Kampar community’s tradition and needs to be preserved as part of the Malay culinary heritage.
