Abstract

The role of ethics and the professionalism of teachers is of paramount importance in the field of education, particularly in the context of Christian Religious Education. This study explores the implementation of the teacher's code of ethics in enhancing the professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers. The research highlights that Christian Education teachers are called by God to perform a noble mission, which involves not only imparting knowledge but also shaping students' character to reflect Christ-like qualities. By analyzing the concept of the teacher's code of ethics, this study emphasizes the importance of integrity, honesty, and dedication in guiding students toward spiritual, moral, and intellectual maturity. Moreover, the implementation of the code of ethics in daily teaching practices fosters a positive learning environment, promotes ethical behavior, and strengthens the teacher's role as a role model. Through continuous professional development and self-reflection, Christian Religious Education teachers can uphold their ethical responsibilities, ensuring that their teaching aligns with Christian values and meets educational standards. The study concludes that the code of ethics is essential for the development of teacher professionalism, which in turn contributes to the holistic development of students.
