TEORI POSTMODERNISME

Postmodernisme merupakan paradigma pemikiran yang muncul sebagai kritik terhadap modernisme yang dianggap terlalu menekankan rasionalitas, universalisme, dan objektivitas. Dalam ranah ilmu sosial, pendidikan, dan agama, teori postmodernisme membawa cara pandang baru yang menekankan pluralitas makna, dekonstruksi struktur dominan, dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Artikel ini berupaya menganalisis secara komprehensif konsep dasar postmodernisme, karakteristik utamanya, serta implikasinya terhadap perubahan paradigma dalam masyarakat, pendidikan, dan kehidupan beragama. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa postmodernisme tidak sekadar menolak modernisme, tetapi menegaskan perlunya keseimbangan antara rasionalitas dan kemanusiaan. Meskipun demikian, postmodernisme tetap menghadapi kritik karena kecenderungannya pada relativisme ekstrem yang berpotensi melemahkan nilai universal.
