MENINJAU KEMBALI EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN ADAPTIF: PENCAPAIAN SISWA, KARAKTERISTIK KEPRIBADIAN, DAN PERSPEKTIF PENDIDIKAN INKLUSIF

Abstract

This study aims to re-examine the effectiveness of adaptive learning in relation to student achievement, personality characteristics, and inclusive education perspectives in the era of digital educational transformation. The study employed a qualitative approach using library research by analyzing various scholarly articles, academic books, and reputable research documents published between 2022 and 2026. Data were collected through documentation techniques by exploring several reputable academic databases, while the data analysis employed content analysis and thematic analysis to identify patterns, themes, and conceptual relationships related to the implementation of adaptive learning. The findings reveal that adaptive learning has significant effectiveness in improving academic achievement, student engagement, intrinsic motivation, and self-regulated learning through personalized, flexible, and responsive learning systems tailored to students’ individual needs. The study also found that personality characteristics, particularly self-regulated learning, conscientiousness, and openness to experience, play an essential role in determining the success of adaptive learning implementation. Furthermore, adaptive learning supports the strengthening of inclusive education by accommodating diverse student abilities, learning needs, and learning styles in a more equitable and non-discriminatory manner. The integration of artificial intelligence and learning analytics further enhances the effectiveness of adaptive learning systems through real-time data-driven personalization. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of three major dimensions student achievement, personality characteristics, and inclusive education within a comprehensive analytical framework. This study contributes to enriching the scientific discourse on adaptive learning as a humanistic pedagogical approach that is not merely technology-oriented but also emphasizes inclusivity, student well-being, and educational equity in the digital era.
