TANTANGAN GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA KRISTEN DALAM MENJAGA PROFESIONALISME BERDASARKAN KODE ETIK

This study discusses the challenges faced by Christian Religious Education teachers in maintaining professionalism based on a code of ethics. Teachers have a very important role in shaping the character, morality, and spirituality of students amidst the increasing diversity of cultural and religious backgrounds. This study identifies two main challenges: first, rapid social change and student diversity that require an inclusive teaching approach; second, the pressure to meet strict curriculum standards that can divert teachers' focus from developing students' character. This study uses a literature study method to explore and analyze these issues, collecting data from various relevant sources. By understanding these challenges, it is hoped that appropriate strategies can be found to help teachers carry out their duties more effectively. This study highlights the importance of integrating character values into the curriculum as well as adequate support for teachers, so that the education process can take place holistically. The results of the study indicate that a comprehensive approach can encourage a young generation who are not only academically intelligent, but also have strong characters and are ready to make positive contributions to society.
