Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the audiovisual listening skills of fourth-grade elementary school students through cognitive and psychomotor assessment approaches. The research instrument consisted of a short video entitled “A Special Day for Edo”, which was presented to five students, followed by a comprehension test including multiple-choice and short-answer questions, as well as a task to create a three-scene comic based on the story. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The analysis results showed that most students demonstrated a good level of understanding, with cognitive comprehension scores exceeding 70%. In terms of psychomotor skills, students displayed varying levels of creativity and alignment with the story content, with the highest achievements in the completeness of drawings and text clarity. This study indicates that audiovisual media are effective in enhancing listening skills and facilitating authentic assessments that holistically cover both cognitive and psychomotor domains.
